Job Description

The Planner III performs a variety of routine and complex technical and professional tasks in current and/or long-range planning for the City, including the development and implementation of land use policies and regulations.

This role involves conducting research for both long-range and current planning, focusing on land use policies and regulations, and incorporating strategies and initiatives to aid in meeting the City's operating and growth objectives.

The Planner III works under the general supervision of the Senior Planner.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters' degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in public administration, planning, landscape architecture, or a closely related field with three years of progressive planning experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, or Bachelors' degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in public administration, planning, landscape architecture, or a closely related field with five years of progressive planning experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
