Maintenance Technician

Job Responsibilities

1. Source the correct machine parts
2. Ensure smooth operation of machines during production
3. Keep machines in 100% working condition
4. Servicing of equipment
5. Provide technical support to factories on a daily basis
6. Reduce production downtime as much as possible
7. Maintain machines in their original state
8. Plan preventative maintenance on all equipment
9. Communicate effectively on all maintenance-related queries
10. Manage gas usage and order if required
11. Organise quotations for external providers
12. Prepare equipment and maintenance documents for audit purposes
13. Utilise pragma or other systems for generating reliability improvement activities
14. Assist with the development of standards for plant, equipment, and machine components
15. Facilitate team problem-solving sessions to effect root cause analysis
16. Diagnose potential failure of any items of equipment and plan accordingly to ensure timely repairs
17. Ensure that critical spares are identified and available to minimise downtime
18. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of Electro Mechanical equipment in the factory
19. Report all unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Manager and institute corrective actions
20. Purchase equipment and spares when needed
