Maintenance Manager - Makro - Wonderboom

Vacancy : Maintenance Fitter (Alberton, Gauteng) A leader in the FMCG Industry is seeking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Fitter.

Applicants must reside in and around the Alberton area.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Daily maintenance routines at planned intervals.
2. Routine inspections and early diagnoses of possible equipment failures, i.e., excessive wear.
3. Communication with Supervisors and Production to arrange preventative maintenance time.
4. Arranging for parts to be available timeously for preventative maintenance routines.
5. Diagnose the root cause of equipment failure.
6. Plan action to address and resolve the cause of failure to prevent future failure.
7. Repair failure as swiftly as possible.
8. Report on corrective and preventative action taken, record downtime.
9. Ensure equipment's successful operation due to the action taken and obtain manufacturing process approval of equipment's operating condition.
10. Availability at all times to assist with production requests.
11. Assist production in resolving process-related problems.
12. Assist with operator training where required.
13. Communicate with production on planning changes to production, and that it runs timeously.
14. Inspection on all process changes.
15. Periodically inspect product manufactured against quality requirements.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Qualified Fitter with a Red Seal.
2. A minimum of 5 (Five) years experience in the FMCG Industry.
3. Bottling experience is preferable, with SAB or ABI.
4. Good communication and organisational skills.
5. Available to start immediately.
6. No criminal record.
