Maintenance Manager – KZN

Our client in KZN is seeking a proactive professional to oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance—from scheduling services and managing repairs to handling licensing and controlling service providers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sign/approve invoices for the repair and maintenance and breakdowns of fleet
2. Planning of servicing of the fleet
3. All vehicles licence management
4. Controlling of vehicle trip sheets and parts gate pass
5. Spot checks according to quote versus actual back from service providers
6. Check/manage tyres with service provider
7. Receive new vehicles and manage all fitment
8. Weekly tyre scrap management
9. Manage all service providers on site
10. Manage and assist with OHS where applicable
11. Housekeeping of workshops
12. Arrange outside service providers if needed for repairs on vehicles
13. Arrange/approve all accident repairs
14. Assist with accidents on the road
15. Capture services (brakes, A services, and COF services and licences of the trailers on mix)
16. Managing all maintenance costs

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1. Grade 12
2. A relevant tertiary qualification/studying towards the same will be an advantage
3. A successful track record in a similar position at management level is essential, including financial/expense management and the budget process
4. Technical knowledge about the industry will be an advantage
5. Thorough working knowledge of disciplinary/grievance handling procedures, as well as good interpersonal skills at management and staff level
6. Team leadership and management skills are essential
7. A good level of general computer literacy is essential
