Maintenance Artisan (Millwright)

Overview:
Our client in the automotive industry is looking to employ a Maintenance Artisan (Millwright) to plan and carry out daily mechanical and electrical maintenance to all plant machinery.

Minimum Requirements:

1. N4 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering – Trade Tested or similar
2. Qualified Millwright an added advantage
3. Experienced on Injection Molding Machines (Engel) an added advantage
4. 5 years’ experience in a factory maintenance environment
5. Computer literacy is a must
6. Ability to learn fast and be independent
7. Excellent leadership and organizational skills
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
9. Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems preferred

Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring Preventative Maintenance is carried out according to schedules for both Mechanical and Electrical
2. Frequently check stock levels for all spares/materials and order in time
3. Assisting the Maintenance Manager in periodic trend analysis of breakdowns and expenditure with recommendations for continual improvement
4. Involvement in daily emergencies and urgent work requests
5. Completion of basic preventative maintenance
6. Ensuring 5S System and safe working standards are always adhered to
7. Keeping the Maintenance Manager informed of abnormal or critical situations and seeking advice on matters outside the Planner's knowledge or authority
8. Ensuring maintenance procedures and documentation complies with relevant Quality Assurance standards and Safety Standards
9. Electrical installations and PLC’s
10. Mechanical installations
11. General buildings and all utilities
12. Comply with OHS Act Regulations and other Legislation
13. Involve with all new projects etc.
14. Accurately carry out maintenance schedules for production machinery and services (Electrical and Mechanical)
15. Carry out lubrication schedules
16. All work must be performed safely according to all safety regulations
17. Speedily rectify breakdowns and after hours call outs
18. Weekly shift and stand by duty to be performed as per roster
19. Adhere to Company HSEE policy
20. Perform shift and standby call out duties
21. Working overtime when required as agreed by Plant Engineer
