We are a leading logistics and transportation company based in Johannesburg Gauteng. We are currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Supervisor / Fleet Controller to join our team.

As the Logistics Supervisor / Fleet Controller you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fleet ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. You will also be responsible for managing a team of drivers and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Manage and supervise a team of drivers providing guidance and support as needed
2. Plan and coordinate the delivery schedule for all vehicles in the fleet
3. Monitor and track vehicle locations, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules
4. Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards
5. Manage and maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, maintenance, and expenses
6. Communicate with clients and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
7. Resolve any issues or delays in delivery and provide solutions to improve efficiency
8. Conduct regular performance evaluations for drivers and provide feedback for improvement
9. Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics and transportation processes
10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications and Skills :

1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
2. Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation industry
3. Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation processes and regulations
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
8. Attention to detail and ability to multitask
9. Valid driver's license and clean driving record
