Logistics Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

• National Diploma in Supply Chain Management
• At least three years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily logistics operations and ensure efficient supply chain processes
• Despatch
  • Oversee the logging and tracking required documentation concerning all applicable deliveries
  • Responsible for all paperwork for invoice processing and fulfilled orders
  • The safe loading/ placement of material on trucks
  • Ensure correct deliveries to customers
  • Report any damages to stock immediately to management
  • Attend to bottlenecks and escalate to management
  • Monitor and maintain the Quality Management system within the department
  • Ensure housekeeping and 5s are maintained within the department
• Raw materials
  • Invoicing and sending out ASN on the Kanban system and reconciling with variances
  • Receipting of raw materials
  • Doing requisition and transfers of raw materials
  • Checking variances in the inventory daily
  • Production booking
• Customer satisfaction
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through professional and on-time deliveries
  • Communicate with customers and management about delivery times and special requests
• Stock takes
  • Responsible for the execution of monthly stock takes
  • Analyse and interpret stock variance reports and highlight non-conformances
• Moving machinery
  • Daily checks on truck/ forklift/ stacker inspection reports
  • Check load tests for lifting equipment
• Administration
  • Ensure time and attendance systems are cleared daily
  • Resolve pay queries
• People management
  • Ensure an enabling climate/ culture
  • Ensure a safe, secure and legal working environment
  • Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels
  • Ensure discipline is maintained in the department (absenteeism, late-coming, overtime, misconduct, etc.)
  • Resolve grievances and disputes
