Logistics Manager

Role Overview

As the Logistics Manager, you will manage logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment to optimize resource utilization, minimize costs, and meet customer demand. Your role involves demand planning, organizing, and controlling inbound and outbound logistics activities to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This role requires regular traveling.

Duties/ Responsibilities

1. Further develop and implement an integrated logistics management system and strategy to support the business objective.
2. Collaborate with Development, Maintenance, and Operations teams to forecast inventory needs and plan replenishment orders.
3. Performance analysis of the overall budget/expenses for the logistics operation and determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transport services.
4. Ensure the logistics processes are streamlined.
5. Implement best practices for warehouse management, including organizing stock, implementing FIFO system, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
6. Negotiate pricing for market rates and drive improvements.
7. Negotiate and conclude contracts for inbound and outbound logistics.
8. Ensure efficient management, control, compliance, and reporting of the function in accordance with legislation, fraud prevention, risk management principles, company strategic supplier relationships, and negotiations.
9. Manage international import and export processes.

Requirements

1. BCom Logistics/Procurement, Bachelors Industrial Engineering, or similar qualification.
2. Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role including managerial experience.
3. Competent in Google Workspace/MS Office.
4. Bilingual (multilingual beneficial).
5. Quick-service restaurant (QSR) experience advantageous.
6. Warehouse management experience.
7. International trade experience.
8. Willingness to travel.
9. Valid driver’s license.
