The Local Store manager is responsible for the leadership and supervision of the Local store that he is appointed to. This function includes the planning, organising, directing, motivating and controlling the work of the store team in order to achieve the Pick n Pay Local Format’s objectives.


Minimum Requirements

  1. Standard 10 (Grade 12)
  2. 5 years’ experience in store operations
  3. Computer literacy
  4. Valid driver’s license

  5. Store receiving
  6. Managing P&L and management accounts
  7. Budget setting and management
  8. Proficient with SAP system
  9. Store administration, banking and operations
  10. Have knowledge of customer insights and develop offering that will meet the customer needs and yield sales and profits
  11. Ensure that there is availability of stock at all times to meet demand and supply in the store
  12. Ensure availability of Store KVI lines and enhance their promotions and sales
  13. Innovating store specific turnover rescue plans to grow sales
  14. Stock Management from delivery to shelf
  15. Ensure that Receiving Management adheres to process
  16. Manage and monitor the synergy between receiving and inventory management
  17. Ensure that Food safety procedures are followed
  18. Monitor and manage stock movement between departments
  19. Manage daily recording of stock movement in liaison with Merchandising department
  20. Manage SLAs with external providers
  21. Daily and weekly reporting
  22. Daily store inspections
  23. Manage Frontline Cash Management controls and process to curb revenue leakage
  24. Communicate on productivity levels and come up with solutions
