Litigation Attorney

Job Title:
As a Junior Litigation Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced legal practitioners and gain invaluable hands-on experience in a wide range of Magistrates Court litigation matters as well as practice management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, and drafting pleadings.
2. Attending court proceedings and hearings.
3. Conducting legal analysis and case assessments to provide sound legal advice.
4. Assisting in negotiations, settlements, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
5. Building and maintaining solid relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

1. LLB degree and admission as a legal practitioner in South Africa.
2. Exceptional research and writing skills.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
4. Proven ability to work well within a team and independently.
5. Passion for litigation and a keen interest in developing court skills.
6. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
