Demand Planning Manager – JOHANNESBURG NORTH

Location: JHB North, Johannesburg – Gauteng

Salary: R1 pa

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Forecast the demand for particular products and/or services in terms of rands and product mix to drive supply chain activities for a particular future period of time.
  2. Timely communicate information to all stakeholders using the appropriate communication method.
  3. Consult with functional teams, such as supply planners, supply chain management, operations, finance, quality assurance, and product development to obtain relevant data and insights on demand.
  4. Drive cross-functional collaboration to influence the demand on the supply chain and prioritize demand for order fulfillment based on business objectives and customer segmentation.
  5. Participate as the demand owner/representative in all sales and operations planning processes to enable demand-supply balancing analysis.
  6. Prepare reports and statistics related to the demand planning and forecasting function.
  7. Manage forecast models, analyze trends, manage forecast tools, and maintain accurate data.
  8. Develop and measure key performance indicators to track and evaluate forecasts made, to assist in assessing the effectiveness of the demand planning and forecasting function, and to work towards continuous improvement.
  9. Support business, marketing, inventory, finance, or production strategies and organizational/supply chain improvement opportunities to meet market needs.
  10. Review and assess risk to supply and demand variability and identify opportunities to manage and mitigate risks.
  11. Develop, implement, and use tools and technology for managing and analyzing the supplier portfolio.
  12. Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders.
  13. Coach and mentor staff as required.
  14. Direct day-to-day administrative tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree / National Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Public Management / Logistics / Commerce (NQF Level 6 or Higher)

8 (eight) years Demand Planning experience, of which 5 (five) years should be in a Managerial or supervisory role.
