Purpose of the Role :

The Legal Advisor will provide expert legal advice on corporate and commercial law matters, ensuring compliance and supporting the firm's diverse legal needs.

• LLB degree
• Admitted attorney of the High Court with 3-5 years post-articles experience
• Proficiency in corporate / commercial legal advisory and litigation
• Technologically savvy, adept at handling digitized legal processes

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough legal research and offer sound opinions on corporate / commercial law
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements including those related to information technology
• Provide legal guidance on corporate projects and manage corporate litigation
• Stay abreast of legislative changes affecting the firm and aid in their implementation
• Advise on technology law, privacy, FAIS, and related legislation
• Oversee the contract management process and manage external legal instructions
• Foster a culture of legal compliance and provide training to staff as needed
