Job description

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification.
  • Completed Articles and Admission as an Attorney.
  • Minimum two years post article experience with focus on contract management and compliance highly desirable.

Key Duties:

Contract Management:

  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts and agreements for the business.
  • Ensure that contracts and legal documentation comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitor contract expiry dates and manage renewals and amendments.

Legal Research:

  • Conduct legal research and assist in preparing reports for the Group Legal Counsel.
  • Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations.

Compliance & Corporate Governance:

  • Support the company’s compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Assist in preparing governance documents and maintain corporate records, including minutes of meetings, board resolutions, and other legal documents.

Litigation Support:

  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents related to litigation matters.
  • Manage case files and liaise with external legal advisors.

General Legal Administration:

  • Provide general administrative support to the legal department, including managing calendars, organizing meetings, and maintaining legal filing systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on various legal matters.

Document Drafting and Review:

  • Draft non-complex legal correspondence and documents under the guidance of the Group Legal Counsel.
  • Review legal documents for accuracy, ensuring all required information is included.
