Lecturer Position: Emergency Medical Care Ref: C202

Minimum Requirements:

• A Masters Degree in Emergency Medical Care or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Higher Education and Training.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Emergency Care Practitioner.
• Preference will be given to applicants who are registered for a PhD.

Additional Recommendations:

Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet use.

Summary of Duties:

• Contribute to the research, design, development & review of Teaching and Learning, curriculum development and institutional development policies, procedures, systems & instruments as required, in line with relevant quality assurance mechanisms.
• Provide and facilitate teaching, learning and assessment in emergency medical care and rescue across all four years of the programme.
• Develop learning material and course content, to ensure continuity in relevance and maintenance of quality.
• Involvement in research activities.
• Engages in continuous academic development.
• Involvement in community engagement.

Salary: Market related.
