Role Purpose

We have an exciting learnership available at Momentum Health which will commence on 1 May 2025 and be completed on 30 April 2026.

What is a Learnership?

A Learnership provides an opportunity for you to gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the workplace. Successful completion of the work-based learning programme will lead to an Occupational Certificate: Health Care Benefits Advisor.

Although completion of the Learnership does not guarantee full-time employment, it allows invaluable experience for you to kick start your career as it enables learners to prepare for the workplace and promotes access to increased employment opportunities within the medical aid administration and insurance industry.

Requirements

  • Completed Grade 12 certificate (Matric)
  • Achieved at least 40% in Mathematics or a minimum of 60% in Mathematical Literacy
  • Achieved a minimum of 50% in English and another South African language
  • No prior working experience
  • Unemployed and available to commit to a 12-month programme from 1 May 2025 to 30 April 2026
  • Be a South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35 years
  • Be able to commute to the workplace
  • Not be studying (part-time or full-time) at a tertiary level during the duration of the Learnership
  • Not have completed a Learnership previously
The uploaded CV must include a certified copy of your Matric certificate and ID (not older than 3 months).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend classroom activities and practical on-the-job training as well as carry out functions in line with the Learnership as required by the Momentum Group.
  • Acquire knowledge of company products, policies and procedures in order to be successful at on-the-job training activities.
  • Compile a Portfolio of Evidence for submission to Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA).
  • Complete logbooks for work-based learning.
  • Complete formative and summative assessments at the required achievement level.
  • Demonstrate skills in using the Company’s systems and understanding operational processes.
  • Conduct yourself as an employee of the Momentum Group and display the Company values.
