Lead Software Developer (Automotive Controls)

Software Developer position available at an International company. Electronic / Mechatronic engineer required with a minimum of 10 years of working experience in MATLAB / Simulink software development for embedded controllers used in the automotive environment.

POSITION INFO :

Lead Software Developer : Automotive Controls

Location: Cape Town

International company. Embedded development, verification, and maintenance of software on the display hardware. Skills needed in RTOS and microprocessor designs.

Qualification :

• B Eng. Degree in Mechatronic / Electronic (M-preferred)
• Willing to travel overseas for variable periods
• Minimum 10 years experience in embedded design
• Proficient in MATLAB / Simulink
• Knowledge of J1939 CAN communication and associated test tools / equipment.

Responsibilities :

• Embedded software development for products in the automotive environment
• Take ownership of the software development for the product portfolio
• Responsible for the development, verification, and maintenance of software
• Field and verification testing
• Work with controller hardware suppliers during product development
