We have an outstanding opportunity in our Glenwood, AR Clinic.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment by following Hot Spring Sport Medicine policies and procedures.
2. Oversee clinical and support staff (Front Desk/Tech/PTA).
3. Market services to physicians and other referral sources, potentially requiring additional time beyond regular work hours.
4. Assist in clinic growth and development.
5. Provide skilled physical therapy care to patients with impairments, disabilities, or changes in physical function.
6. Record daily clinical and progress notes, ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and universal guidelines.
7. Coordinate patient care activities to ensure the highest quality of care.
8. Test, evaluate, and record muscle strength and joint measurements to develop and review treatment plans.
9. Instruct patients and caregivers in home programs to promote independence in self-care and daily activities.
10. Administer physical therapy procedures such as electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, traction, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities.
11. Record patient progress and communicate significant changes to the referring physician for treatment plan adjustments.
12. Assist in discharge planning and document related activities.
13. Assign and review patient treatments with Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring proper patient progress.
14. Report equipment maintenance needs and make procedural recommendations.
15. Maintain efficient department operations to ensure effective patient treatment.
16. Attend continuing education meetings and report back to staff.
17. Perform related duties as required.

Education/Qualifications:

1. 3-5 years of experience in an outpatient setting. (Orthopedic experience preferred)
2. Graduation with Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapist program.
3. Physical Therapy licensure.
4. Evidence of ongoing continuing education in clinical areas.
5. Speaks, writes, reads, and comprehends English. Fluency in other languages a plus.

Physical Demands:

1. Lifting, pushing, pulling, and assisting patients with exercise and patient transfers.
2. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
3. May be exposed to infectious diseases, electricity, and strain from moving or supporting patients.
