Make a Difference as a Technician (LCA) at Enza Zaden
As a Technician (LCA) at Enza Zaden, you will play a key role in accelerating the breeding process through rapid generation back-crossing programs. Working in a high-tech, fast-paced greenhouse environment, you’ll contribute to innovative pre-breeding projects that shorten the time from seed to seed. Your work will directly impact the development of high-quality vegetable varieties, ensuring efficiency in both hands-on plant care and data management.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Hands-On Greenhouse & Crop Management: Work closely with breeding and biotech teams to execute key tasks such as seed collection, germination monitoring, transplant selection, and harvesting. Assist crop workers in plant care and treatment to maintain healthy, productive crops.
Data Collection & Processing: Record, analyze, and manage trial and pre-breeding project data in Excel, Phenome, and UTM. Maintain accuracy in data entry to support informed decision-making in breeding programs.
Collaboration in a High-Tech Environment: Work alongside a dedicated greenhouse team and your supervisor in a controlled agricultural setting. Adapt to flexible working hours when needed, ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.

What You Bring To The Team
A tertiary qualification relevant to plant science, agriculture, or a related field (greenhouse experience is a plus).
Passion for working with plants and hands-on experience in agriculture or horticulture.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict breeding and data recording protocols.
Experience with data capture in Excel and willingness to learn industry-specific software.
Flexibility to adapt to early morning work hours and changing responsibilities.
Good communication skills in spoken and written English.
A valid driver’s license and own transport.
