Based out of Montreal or from your remote office in Ontario, you’ll have the opportunity to work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams to contribute directly to all phases of government and privately-owned infrastructure projects. This position is Full-time. Bring your enthusiasm for learning and desire to work with a multi-disciplinary team of technical experts, and we’ll help you grow!

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Work on a team responsible for supporting a client with the acquisition of property for a capital infrastructure project.


• Prepare and implement a Lands Management Plan which includes identifying property acquisition requirements, Permissions to Enter, and reducing financial and environmental risk.


• Support the client with the negotiation of Land Agreements with Indigenous communities, provinces, municipalities and other public agencies, private companies, and private landowners.

• Lead property valuations exercises and prepare documents required to support project cost estimation.


• Work with other disciplines within the project team to understand the effects on surrounding properties within the project boundaries and offer solutions on how to minimize disruption.


• Work with other disciplines to capture property acquisition timelines and create a schedule for property acquisitions.


• Identify risks associated with property acquisition and develop, implement, and monitor risk mitigation strategies.

Here's what you'll need

  • Experience in Land Management is an asset.
  • Bachelors in Urban Planning or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years related experience in right of way public infrastructure projects
  • International Right of Way Association designation a plus
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of real estate principles, including some knowledge of urban planning and policy as it relates to property and development potential
  • Strong entrepreneurial, leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the theory, principles and practices of project management
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and apply specifications, contracts, design documents, test plans and coordinate contracted technical projects
  • Experience in the use of MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, etc.
  • Familiarity inGeographic Information System (GIS) and GeoWarehouse
  • Bi-lingual is an assetin Ontario and required in Montreal
  • Must have driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
  • Experience in a variety of project delivery models considered an asset
