Job Description

1. Provide technical support to operations, the sales and our external customers
2. Optimise existing products with regards to performance and cost
3. Develop new products
4. Evaluate and approve alternative raw materials
5. Evaluate alternative raw materials for use in our formulations
6. Evaluate and benchmark competitor products
7. Provide telephonic technical support to our customers. This may include answering our DIY helpline
8. Provide technical support to our production, stores, warehouse, procurement, sales and QA teams
9. Visit customers with members of the sales team, for the purpose of providing technical support or R&D
10. Investigate product complaints
11. Provide supporting documents for products i.e. data sheets, FAQ’s, product presentations
12. Writing lab reports
13. Research and product development

Qualifications and Experience

1. BSc Chemistry or similar qualification
2. Work with a high degree of accuracy
3. Demonstrate a high level of conceptual and analytical thinking
4. 5 years in Chemical manufacturing industry
