Role Overview

The Position will assist lab technicians by performing routine laboratory tasks, preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample Preparation: Preparing and labelling samples for testing, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining laboratory equipment and workspace.
• Data Recording: Recording and documenting data, results, and observations accurately.
• Testing and Analysis: Performing routine laboratory tests and analyses under the supervision of scientists or technicians.
• Inventory Management: Maintaining an inventory of supplies and chemicals, ordering replacements as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to all health and safety regulations and procedures in the laboratory.
• Administrative Tasks: Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering inquiries.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Certificate in Chemistry or Physics
• Matric
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license.
