Job Purpose: The person will be required to provide professional technical support to meet the needs of the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Grade 12. A National Diploma/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is recommended.
• Minimum of 1-year relevant experience in a tertiary institution.
• Knowledge and experience in electrical systems, workshop machines, and fault-finding of electrical and computer systems.

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities:

• Schedule, coordinate and participate in projects as required by the electrical department.
• Maintenance and repair of lab equipment and consumables in line with the department’s requirements.
• Active engagement in training and career development.
• Assist staff and students with academic and industrial projects.
• Provide appropriate academic and laboratory support.
• Any additional departmental duties as assigned by the HoD.
