Key Accounts Sales Person (OHS) required in Cape Town.

We are seeking a results-driven and highly motivated Key Accounts Sales Person with a strong background in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with key accounts, promoting OHS-related products or services, and ensuring customer satisfaction while meeting or exceeding sales targets.

You will work closely with internal teams to provide tailored solutions that align with the client’s safety goals and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management:

  • Manage and nurture relationships with key accounts in the OHS industry, ensuring high customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing expert advice on OHS products and services.
  • Understand customer needs, industry regulations, and safety standards to propose effective solutions.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the OHS sector.
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments for key accounts to tailor solutions and maximize sales potential.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive growth.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to senior management and stakeholders at client organizations.

Product Knowledge:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of OHS products and services, staying updated on industry trends, new regulations, and technological advancements.
  • Advise clients on the latest OHS standards, best practices, and safety solutions relevant to their business.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, product development, customer support) to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with technical experts to provide customized safety solutions and resolve any product-related concerns for clients.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, meetings, proposals, and client communications using CRM systems.
  • Provide regular sales reports to management, outlining progress toward targets, forecast sales, and account development strategies.

Market Insights & Strategy:

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the OHS industry.
  • Provide feedback on product and service improvements based on client feedback and market research.

Key Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) industry or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in managing key accounts and achieving sales targets.
  • Knowledge & Skills:Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of OHS products, services, and solutions, including safety equipment, training programs, and software tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build long-lasting relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt solutions to client needs.

Education:

  • A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Certifications or additional training in OHS would be an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with large, complex organizations in a consultative sales capacity.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of international safety standards and regulations is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel required to meet with key clients and attend industry events.
  • Flexibility to work remotely or in an office setting, depending on company policy and client needs.
