Our client in the FMCG industry is seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced National Key Accounts Manager to join their team, based in Johannesburg (Sandton).

Minimum of 5 years' experience in retail FMCG sales, with a proven track record of working with national and regional buyers at a senior level secures!

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in retail FMCG sales, with a proven track record of working with national and regional buyers at a senior level.
  • Experience in key account management, preferably within the retail channel group, with a strong understanding of its operations and business principles.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong focus on proactive service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and manage both operational and administrative sales objectives with discipline and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the National Channel Manager.
  • Manage key accounts within the retail channel group.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with national and regional buyers, as well as distribution centre stakeholders.
  • Drive sales to meet company objectives, including volume and pricing targets across the full product range.
  • Collaborate with regional teams, sales staff, and agents to ensure effective product distribution and merchandising, aimed at increasing forward share and achieving execution goals.
  • Support sales forecasting, waste management, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports, including data analysis and interpretation, to inform business decisions.
