Job description

The junior conference researcher is required to identify topics for a conference through in-depth market research via print and online media to write and produce commercially viable conferences that will offer knowledge transfer and networking opportunities for paying delegates, sponsors, and speakers. This is a multifaceted position. The junior researcher is responsible for the development of timely and relevant conferences from inception to delivery/completion. This includes working with the sales and marketing teams to ensure the success of the event. This will encompass topic research, speaker acquisition, content development, and event management.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research of key subjects and hot topics within a particular industry or sector. Identify the target audience and find out what they want or need to know. Gather competitor intelligence to determine the commercial viability and timing of a conference topic.
  2. Speaker Acquisition: Identify and recruit high-level, influential industry experts to speak at the conference with 10+ years of experience. Speakers play a pivotal role in attracting delegates to the conference.
  3. Content Development: Write in the form of a conference programme, tailored to the language of your target audience.
  4. Deadlines: Develop and finalise the conference programme within stipulated timelines.
