Robertson Winery has an exciting career opportunity for a Bottling Technician with strong people management skills to join their production team, based in Robertson (Western Cape).

The ideal candidate is an analytical individual with a meticulous approach to work and exceptional problem-solving and organisational skills. This position is ideal for someone that thrives in a high-pressure environment where multi-tasking is required.

The incumbent will be responsible for:

1. Productive & effective management of the production lines and employees within the department
2. Managing productivity targets
3. Bottling line workflow management including giving technical assistance to Operators and making technical adjustments on machines
4. Maintenance & repairs, including preventative maintenance and installations
5. Execution of the production plan ensuring that adequate volumes of goods are manufactured that conform to set quality standards
6. React to deviations on the production schedule
7. Continuous monitoring of actual production vs planned production
8. Recording and reporting of production statistics and deviations to the production plan
9. Ensure production processes, policies, procedures, and work instructions are followed and all employees are properly trained
10. Lead regular communication with production line employees
11. Ensure adherence to company’s disciplinary code
12. All other tasks related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

1. N4 Mechanical qualification (Fitter / Turner);
2. Approximately 5 years relevant experience in a FMCG / Food / Bottling environment, including experience in productivity and staff management;
3. Well-developed technical and mechanical skills with high levels of accuracy;
4. Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans & English);
5. Computer literacy (MS Office).
