Junior Project Engineer (Contract) — FMCG Industry

Are you a young, motivated engineering professional looking to gain valuable project experience in the fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Project Engineer to support exciting projects in 2025! This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and build a solid foundation in project engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the Project Manager and Project Engineer in executing various technical projects
2. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company standards
3. Assist in developing project scope documents and managing request for quote processes
4. Review engineering design drawings and participate in design reviews and HAZOP studies
5. Assist with factory and performance acceptance testing
6. Manage and track equipment delivery to site
7. Support on-site construction activities and help resolve technical design issues
8. Assist during commissioning and start-up phases
9. Participate in change management processes and technical documentation updates
10. Contribute to the development of maintenance requirements for handover to operations
11. Handle administrative tasks as required
12. Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary

Requirements:

1. Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) or BTech in the same disciplines
2. 1-2 years’ experience in an engineering or project environment
3. Strong knowledge of industrial safety rules and regulations
4. Experience working in an FMCG or industrial environment is an advantage
5. Knowledge of project management principles (qualification beneficial)
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
7. Excellent presentation, report writing, and problem-solving skills
8. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage across all levels
