Junior Production Assistant - Boutique Ice Cream Company (Woodstock, Cape Town)

My client, a small boutique ice cream company based in Woodstock, is looking for a Junior Production Assistant to support their kitchen team.

This is a hands-on, entry-level role focused on ingredient preparation and assisting with day-to-day production tasks. It's a vital part of the process, and they're looking for someone who takes pride in doing consistent, accurate work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist with weighing, measuring, and preparing ingredients.
2. Follow exact recipes and production processes - no improvising.
3. Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
4. Work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive environment.
5. Stay on your feet throughout the shift and complete all tasks with care and focus.

Requirements

1. Basic understanding of kitchen measurements (grams, kilograms, litres, etc.).
2. Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices.
3. Ability to work precisely and repetitively - this is not a creative or expressive role.
4. Physically fit and comfortable with standing for long periods.
5. Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions exactly.
