Junior Microgrid Control Engineer

Our client in the Solar Engineering Industry is looking for a hardworking and dedicated Junior Microgrid Controls Engineer to join their team in their office in Roodepoort, Johannesburg.

Requirements Include:

1. Strong IP network.
2. Experience in wiring and reticulating complex control wiring.
3. Experience in configuring complex control systems.
4. Good understanding of modern technology.
5. Modbus.
6. Canbus.
7. Good understanding of:
8. Generators, Battery Energy Storage Solutions, and PV (Micro Grids).
9. Electrical Distribution MV and LV.
10. Electrical Metering.
11. Come from a power plant control background / PLC automation background.
12. Need to be technologically advanced.
13. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
14. Additional Certificates in Solar on top of your Engineering degree will be beneficial.

Location: Roodepoort mainly and sometimes in Rosebank office, Johannesburg.

Salary range: R40 000 - R80 000 CTC (depending on experience).

Starting date: As soon as possible.
