What You Will Do

1. Developing, implementing, and maintaining Micro control programs for the laboratory and plant to ensure that all operations meet the requirements of the microbiology control standard.
2. Ensuring operations of the Micro laboratory are performed according to corporate methods and policy and adherence to good microbiological practices.
3. Administration of the laboratory quality assurance.
4. Ensuring compliance of the Micro laboratory to health and safety standards and requirements.
5. Ensure routine problem resolution and continuous improvement.
6. Ensure accuracy of reporting of data and maintenance of records and interpretation of the data.
7. Ensure timely release of product to the trade.

Key Responsibilities

1. Testing raw materials, finished products, environmental, validation, product development, and water samples.
2. Timely release of finished products to the trade.
3. Conduct and monitor bio-burden/environmental studies.
4. Validate, write, and update test methods and procedures as required.
5. Preparation of culture media.
6. Safe disposal of media and product waste.
7. Inventory control and ordering of Micro laboratory supplies.
8. Collecting, analyzing, and trending of Micro data to assist in managerial decision-making.
9. Participate in problem-solving and quality improvement initiatives.
10. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
11. Developing strategies to maintain, and programs to demonstrate, strong microbial control of the manufacturing environment as plant.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

1. Minimum 1-3 years working in a microbiological environment.
2. Education - Professional/Technical/Academic Degree / National Diploma in Microbiology or Medical Laboratory Technology is preferred.
3. Knowledge of environmental/bioburden testing.
4. Knowledge of preservative efficacy testing.
5. Technical and professional knowledge.
6. Good computer skills are preferred.
7. Communication skills and good interpersonal skills will be beneficial.
8. This role will be a fixed-term contract for 12 months with possible extension.
