Junior Loss Adjuster (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineer)

An international Loss Adjusting company is seeking a Junior Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineer to join their Johannesburg office.

The team of Engineers look at cause and damage investigations, and consult with Insurance companies to evaluate large and complex insurance claims in the mining, oil & gas, and heavy industries (which include claims to do with explosions, collapses, fires, internal failures, etc).

Responsibilities:

Evaluate large and complex insurance claims related to:

1. Mining
2. Oil & Gas
3. Heavy Industries

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc. or BEng. in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• On-site experience
• 2-4 years of engineering experience
• High performer
• Able to communicate technical concepts clearly (verbally, presentations, through reports)
• Confident, sociable, and enquiring personality
• Willing to travel frequently on short stay trips (2-3 nights at a time) in Africa and around South Africa.
