Junior Graphic Designer, East London

We are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or related
• Relevant design internship or portfolio demonstrating design skills
• Basic understanding of web design principles
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Basic understanding of composition, colour theory, typography
• Attention to detail and communication skills, good creativity and time management ability

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Supporting senior designers: Assist with design projects by creating drafts, mock-ups, and basic design elements
• Developing design skills: Learn and apply design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques
• Creating visual assets: Design graphics for websites, social media posts, marketing materials, email campaigns, and print materials
• Collaborating with team members: Work with designers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and deliver designs that align with brand guidelines
• Research trends: Stay updated on current design trends and industry best practices
• File management: Organize and maintain design files according to project requirements
• Providing design feedback: Receive and incorporate constructive criticism from senior designers

Salary: R12000.00 per month
