Junior Formulator

Purpose:

This role will be responsible for assisting with daily formulation and technical duties.

Requirements:

• MSc degree or related work experience would be advantageous.
• No work experience required but is of an advantage.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining optimal feed safety and quality requirements.
• Monthly formulations, after the standard cost is set (as per the formulation SOP).
• Monthly formulation – perform reformulations to meet operational requirements (as per the formulation SOP).
• Quarterly cost formulations as determined by the Formulations Manager (as per the formulation SOP).
• Statistical analysis of raw material and finished feed data and reporting through JMP.
• Raw material matrix adjustment based on current and relevant raw material data.
• Perform evaluations for opportunity raw materials.
• Distribute all relevant formulation reports to designated stakeholders (Laboratory, Procurement, Production, Raw Material Control, and Technical).
• Provide weekly feedback to the Technical team.
