Centurion, South Africa | Posted on 09 / 09 / Our client in the Service, Trading and Distribution Industry is looking for a Junior Facilities Manager to join their performance-driven team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for driving integrated Facilities Management (FM) services and strategy for the client.
  2. Ensure the delivery of efficient FM services as outlined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  3. Implement an effective HSE, Quality & Risk Management system in conjunction with the Contracts Manager and in alignment with client needs.
  4. Conduct daily audits on FM services rendered to ensure that prescribed work quality and standards are consistently maintained.
  5. Ensure timely sign-off and provide variance explanations on P&Ls.
  6. Identify gaps and deficiencies in services, provide advice, and implement solutions as part of a continuous improvement process for FM services.
  7. Manage back-to-back SLA agreements with suppliers and contractors.
  8. Monitor service providers' (contractors') performance and implement corrective actions for any deviations from the SLA.
  9. Assist in the management of FM projects and provide technical support when applicable.
  10. Demonstrate and instill effective adherence to processes related to infrastructure maintenance.
  11. Explore and recommend innovative, cost-effective methods based on best practices.
  12. Ensure timely processing of invoices.
  13. Provide monthly reports and feedback on continued compliance with the SLA.
  14. Build strategic relationships both internally and externally.
  15. Manage staff performance and facilitate improvement through regular monitoring, coaching, support, and feedback.
  16. Address performance issues and conflicts within subordinate employees, and implement corrective actions in line with company policies and procedures.
  17. Ensure adequate staff placement by preparing suitable shift rosters and managing / approving leave for subordinate employees.
  18. Responsible for training, coaching, mentoring, and developing subordinate employees.

Requirements:

  1. National Diploma / Degree: Facilities Management, Property Management, Operations Management or related FM formal qualification.
  2. Matric: (Senior Certificate)
  3. Valid SA Drivers License
  4. Experience: in Facilities Management, CRM, Property Management & Financial Management.
  5. Knowledge: of OHS Act, ISO Quality Management, Risk Management Systems, Property Law & Contractual Law.
