Role Overview
As a data analyst you will be responsible for processing and analysing data to provide actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making within the business.

Requirements
0 - 3 years of experience as a data analyst, data architect, data engineer, data scientist, machine learning engineer or business systems analyst.
Experience in any of the following industries: fintech, payments, retail banking, credit, e-commerce, logistics, IT, Telecommunications, Banking, BPO, finance or SaaS.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maths, Stats, Actuarial Science.
Tertiary qualification from UCT, Stellenbosch or WITS.
Experience in SQL.
Responsibilities
Understand the business’s primary commercial imperatives to align technological solutions with business goals.
Envision and plan technology solutions that support these commercial imperatives, incorporating feedback from in-country operations teams and the sales network.
Design, build, test, maintain, and manage robust software solutions that enable team members to perform their roles effectively and contribute to the company's objective of serving customers efficiently.
Provide architectural and technical leadership for projects within the specified industries.
Manage and maintain a mission-critical, 24x7 production system with expert knowledge.
Utilise strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot system and integration challenges.
Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Implement and manage cloud-based systems to support business operations.
Apply Infrastructure-as-Code principles, rapid and collaborative code pipelines, and other DevOps methodologies to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
Utilise AWS serverless products and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for system management.
Additional Information
They pay USD denominated salary (set in USD, converted on payment date, paid into SA account, post PAYE).
Annual cash bonus based on company and personal performance (0-60% of annual base).
Opportunity to partake in ESOP after 12 months, based on personal performance.
Team to spend at least 50% of their time in the office (Waterfront), you can choose days, hours etc.
