Junior Attorney

We are seeking a Junior Attorney with at least one year of post-admission experience specializing in Road Accident Fund (RAF), third-party claims, and personal injury law.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of litigation procedures and be able to manage cases from inception to finalization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Handle RAF and third-party claims, including personal injury matters.
2. Draft and review pleadings, correspondence, and legal documents.
3. Conduct legal research and case law analysis.
4. Represent clients in settlement negotiations, pre-trial conferences, and court proceedings.
5. Engage with medical experts, advocates, and other stakeholders.
6. Maintain case files, deadlines, and compliance with court rules.
7. Provide legal advice and support to clients.

Requirements:

1. LLB degree and admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
2. Minimum 1 year of post-admission experience in RAF / third-party claims / personal injury law.
3. Strong litigation, drafting, and negotiation skills.
4. Case Lines & Court Online experience is essential.
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
6. Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
7. Knowledge of RAF Act and relevant case law is essential.
