The successful candidate will be reporting to the Chief Airport Planner and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Remain up to date with macro and micro-economic conditions, legislation, competition, market sentiment and the aviation industry in general.
Provide inputs into national, provincial and local policies, frameworks and plans, informed by airport development plans.
Provide input into the comments prepared in response to proposed land developments by the Local Authority/developers.
Provide support and input into the formulation of airport development plans.
Maintain a good rapport with the regional and local authorities by acting as an interface between ACSA and the regional and local authorities.
Proactively lobby for favorable development conditions for the airport, in line with the airport development plans.
Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures.
Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
Coordinate and provide input into the pre-implementation phase of infrastructure projects through specialist studies, inputs into project briefs.
Provide specialised support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
Establish and monitor healthy, diverse, workable internal and external relationships, including the interface with external providers to ensure departmental/functional needs are met and organisational goals achieved.
Technical Skills And Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
Bachelor’s Degree (4 years - 480 credits) NQF Level 8 in Town and Regional Planning.
2 years experience in Town and Regional Planning or Airport Planning is essential.
Registration with industry voluntary association is recommended.
Advanced MS Office proficiency level is essential.
