Junior Accountant

A fast-growing supplier of veterinary products is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team at their office in Stellenbosch (on the Bottelary Road). In this role, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and will be assisting with running the daily finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
2. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
3. Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
4. Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual financial reporting.
5. Assisting and being involved in other accounting and non-accounting tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Completed SAIPA or CIMA articles (highly beneficial).
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
3. 3 to 6 years experience in an accounting-focused role.
4. Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel (beneficial).

Salary:

1. R25 000 - R30 000 CTC / month.
