Job Opportunity With Tact Fostering : Senior Supervising Social Worker

Location: East London, homebased with travel

Salary: £37,000 per annum plus £1,000 Out of Hours, £500 Home Working Allowance per annum and £4,000 London Weighting (if eligible)

Hours: 35 Hours Per Week

This is an exciting opportunity for a supervising / senior supervising social worker to join the London & The East Team as they embark on innovative projects and continue to strive for improvement, growth, and better outcomes for the children and young people in our care.

Our social workers are homebased but will travel to face-to-face meetings with carers, children, and third-party organisations as needed, as well as for training, team meetings, and social events.

Overall Duties of the Senior Supervising Social Worker will include:

1. An appropriate social work qualification
2. Up-to-date registration with Social Work England
3. A minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in fostering / family placements or other childcare settings
4. Experience in supporting and supervising 10-12 foster families to meet the complex needs of the looked-after young people
5. A proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality, and promoting their positive development
6. Experience in group work and / or delivery of training
7. Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations including the Children's Act and NMS Fostering Standards
8. Experience of working with / supporting looked after children and their foster carers
9. Ability to prioritise, plan and self-organise efficiently
10. Capable of using electronic records systems and IT effectively, including participating in virtual meetings and webinars
