Overview

A dynamic and growing IT services provider is looking for a skilled and proactive On-Site IT Support Technician to join their team. This role requires an individual with strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues both remotely and on-site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing IT support services to clients and ensuring seamless operations of IT infrastructure, networking, and security systems. This position is ideal for a self-motivated problem solver who thrives in a high-pressure environment and enjoys working independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support to customers, field engineers, and technicians
  2. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues
  3. Install, configure, and maintain Windows systems, networks, and VOIP systems
  4. Manage and maintain firewalls, cloud & on-site backups, and camera systems
  5. Document solutions, errors, and IT procedures to improve efficiency
  6. Prioritize and resolve support requests while delivering exceptional customer service
  7. Maintain and update IT documentation to aid future troubleshooting
  8. Assist with automation projects and digital transformation initiatives

Technical Skills Required

  1. End-User & Windows Support: Setup, configure, and maintain Windows systems
  2. Networking: Wireless, LAN, firewall configuration, and troubleshooting
  3. Hardware Support: Build, maintain, and upgrade desktops/laptops
  4. Security & Backup Management: Install antivirus, manage cloud/on-site backups
  5. VOIP & Camera Systems: Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  6. Ticketing & Helpdesk Support: Track and document support requests efficiently

Familiarity with IT Tools & Platforms:

  • N-Central
  • SentinelOne
  • MS365 Suite
  • Untangle / iShield Firewalls
  • Autotask

Requirements

  1. 3-5 years of IT support experience (on-site & remote)
  2. Relevant IT certifications (A+, N+, Security+ preferred)
  3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 products
  4. Experience in a service/help desk environment
  5. Valid driver's license (this role involves regular on-site client visits)
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
