IT Support Engineer (A+N+VOIP)

The primary responsibility will be to provide 1st to 3rd level support for IT infrastructure and support for the BaaN IV ERP system.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage servers, desktops, and laptops.
2. Implement and monitor backups and recovery.
3. Provide ERP system support.
4. Assist users with digital tools.
5. Enforce and improve policies.
6. Oversee firewall and network equipment.
7. Maintain and monitor printers.
8. Manage IT budget and procurement.
9. Suggest IT upgrades to senior team.
10. Customize ERP reports and scripts.
11. Update website, intranet, email, and IT assets.
12. Support quotation systems.
13. Provide user training.
14. Manage 3rd party contracts.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Matric (grade 12) diploma or technical equivalent.
2. Certification in A+, N+, MCSA, or a BSC Degree in the relevant field.
3. Minimum 10 years of experience.
4. Knowledge of networking technologies (VoIP, VPN) and O, One Drive, SharePoint.
5. Familiarity with core Microsoft technologies, Firewall technologies and IPsec tunnels.
6. Competent hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
7. Effective communication and presentation skills.
8. Professional appearance, bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
9. Capable of working under pressure and managing time efficiently.
10. Understanding of time and attendance software and POPIA.
