IT Specialist

Red Bull South Africa is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch IT support, managing end-user devices, and coordinating local IT projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure seamless IT operations and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT services.

Job Description

IT Support & Collaboration

1. Organize and provide day-to-day IT support, maximizing remote service desk use and output, and pushing for fast resolutions as well as meeting/event support if requested.
2. Ensure professional end-user IT onboarding by leveraging and contributing to global standards.
3. Leverage Incident, Request, Problem, Outage, and Change Management processes for local IT services.
4. Ensure professional and regular IT service communication towards end-users.
5. Organize and provide IT security trainings as well as end-user IT service trainings.
6. Administer local end-user account access and permissions in relevant tools and required management and monitoring platforms (e.g., for Workplace or IAM services).
7. Support local infrastructure components in cooperation with second-level support partners.
8. Collaborate on identifying and improving limitations or simplifying current services, processes, and tools for effective and quick alignment with relevant IT peers (local, remote Service Desk, IT Area).

End-user Devices and IT Infrastructure

1. Ensure an up-to-date and accurate IT asset inventory within RB standards/tools.
2. Coordinate end-user device rollouts as well as device replacement cycles for client computing hardware, including peripherals (e.g., screens, headsets) and mobile devices.
3. Manage local network infrastructure, including events, in accordance with global standards.
4. Manage local office infrastructure across the life cycle (e.g., printers, meeting room equipment including room booking system, video conferencing devices, office access control, CCTV, and local phones).
5. Coordinate the RMA process for client computing and/or backend-hardware components.

Local IT Project Coordination and Administration

1. Ensure the execution of local project tasks and the deployment of global IT services to achieve the highest level of end-user satisfaction.
2. Support local IT and/or business projects.
3. Align local business needs and demands proactively with the IT Manager, aiming to promote and push for global/regional instead of local IT solutions.
4. Support the IT Manager in terms of IT budget planning.
5. Take over assignments, leveraging global and area-specific project management methods.
6. Coordinate with local IT external vendors and partners (e.g., network cabling, mobile phones, A/V setup,...).

Qualifications

1. 3+ years of proven experience in IT support and infrastructure management.
2. Strong knowledge of IT management processes and tools (ITIL v3 experience, ServiceNow or equivalent tool experience appreciated).
3. Solid know-how in Microsoft Windows and Office, Mac, Mobile Devices, Networking, and Security Services.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Team-oriented, self-motivated, and hands-on.
8. Spoken and written English mandatory.
