Managing IT staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, and monitoring performance.
To manage IT infrastructure (server rooms, server software, switches, cabling, routers, firewalls, UPS, generators, cameras, etc.) and IT systems, across multiple sites, ensuring that infrastructure (through vendors) is well maintained for efficient business operations and that the System Administration Plan is adhered to;
To update end-user machines and all servers with the latest software patches, including antivirus, as well as third-party applications to ensure machine protection and that machines function optimally;
To manage the Organizations backup solution, ensuring backups are made on time and routinely verifying the integrity of such backups by restoring backups on a weekly and monthly basis.
To implement and maintain Organization firewalls to prevent access violations;
To maintain and communicate the IT Access Control Plan and secure data at rest and in transit by effectively applying required security measures and constant monitoring to ensure the protection of data against internal and external security breaches
To maintain and control the physical user access system to ensure optimal physical security at all times on an ongoing basis.
Evaluating technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
To design and maintain IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan to reduce the adverse impact of possible downtime on the business and to ensure that mission-critical applications are functional in case of disaster
Overseeing the annual IT budget and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary.
Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively.
Generating performance reports for operating systems.
Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.
Participate in, and in certain cases, lead ICT auditing activities.
Develop and implement Cyber Security strategies aligned with the NIST framework.
Qualifications, skillsand experience:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing IT Infrastructure and Services.
Experience with Computer Networks, Network Administration, and Network Installation.
Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows Software, including Server, office, and exchange.
Management and leadership skills.
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
