IT Engineer

Job Title: IT Engineer (6-Month Contract)

Location: Cape Town | On-Site

Overview

Seeking a highly skilled IT Engineer to provide Level 2-4 technical support, maintain critical infrastructure, and optimise IT applications. This role is ideal for someone with strong enterprise IT experience and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage Active Directory, Office 365, Azure environments
2. Install/manage Hyper-Converged Clusters & Virtual Servers
3. Handle network tech: SD-WAN, VLANs, Firewalls, Wi-Fi, MPLS
4. Backup/restoration, Mimecast, hybrid Exchange
5. Troubleshoot technical issues across multiple platforms
6. Train users on IT applications and systems
7. Track and report ICT asset movement

Minimum Requirements

1. IT degree or diploma + 5 years' relevant experience
2. Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, MCITP)
3. Proven experience with SQL, MySQL, SharePoint, Linux libraries
4. Familiar with ITIL, cybersecurity frameworks, CRM systems
5. Ability to travel to the office daily

Contract Duration

6 months (with potential extensions based on project needs)
