It Change Management Consultant

The Change Management Consultant should at least have 5 years' experience in Change Management for IT Related Projects.

1.1 Purpose of the post:

To develop and implement Change Management Strategies and Plans, including:

1. Development of communication plan specifically for the project.
2. Planning change management activities.
3. Development of Training Plan.
4. Management of Change, Communication, and Training Plan.
5. Supporting organizational leadership through the change process.
6. Development and Implementation of Change embedding strategy and plan.

1.2 Description of tasks

The key tasks for a Change Management Consultant include but are not limited to:

1. Assessing an organization's readiness for change.
2. Tailoring communication strategically to get the right messages to the right people.
3. Building buy-in across the entire organization.
4. Leveraging digital adoption tools to speed up the transition process.
5. Assessing and prioritizing feedback from those affected by the change.
6. Assessing the effectiveness of the change management plan.
7. Continuous updating of the change management plan.
8. Managing organizational change across the lifecycle of the project.

1.3 Competency requirements

Knowledge

Knowledge of governmental environment, IT Project Management Principles, and experience in a consulting environment is an asset. Working knowledge of OpenText solutions and understanding of prevalent ECM/EIM systems used in the industry will be an added advantage.

Skills

Good communication, planning and time management, managing people, project management, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to travel to clients' sites throughout the country.

1.4 Qualification

Relevant National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Management, or Personnel/Human Resource Management. Prosci Change Management Certification is required.

1.5 Experience

Extensive experience in managing change for IT-related projects, experience as a manager or team leader, project management experience, and experience in managing change in ECM/EIM/RM projects will be an added advantage.
