IT Business Analyst - Logistics

The Business Analyst will be part of an internal support team which treats Maersk and other operationally groups as their customers. The position is a dynamic role comprehensive of being WMS/TMS application specialist and understanding of operations process with additional responsibilities related to project management, technical writing, and continuous improvement. Our team has a range of initiatives including supporting flawless new customer onboardings and new system implementations, driving process standardization, proliferating best practices across the organization, supporting in digital transformation, and more.

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Our facilities can receive, store, process and dispatch cargo, so we can build flexibility and resilience into the supply chain process. 1. Supporting and driving new WMS (Warehouse Management System) and TMS (Transport Management Systems) implementations.
2. Supporting and driving IT system implementations.
3. Supporting and driving digital transformation efforts as well as helping create the initiatives.
4. Problem solving dynamic operational and/or systemic challenges.
5. Documenting processes and support in training and implementation of the processes.
6. Influencing change with continuous improvement mindset geared towards identifying and eliminating safety and compliance issues, service issues, and operational inefficiencies.
7. Evaluating use of tools used by operators to ensure maximum ROI on investments.
8. Develop reporting tools and KPIs to maximize visibility into trends of the business.
9. Ad-hoc customer requests.

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

1. Lead new systems implementations.
2. Perform Level 1 and 2 Warehouse Management System (WMS) configurations.
3. Technical writing of Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), IOPs, and creation of process maps.
4. Train users on systems and processes.
5. Manage, communicate, and resolve operational, process and systems issues.
6. Pro-actively identify trends, process improvements and customer needs and propose and implement solutions.
7. Acts as a liaison for cross-functional support teams (Administration and Operations) to achieve customer and company business objectives.
8. Create and execute project plans crossing over several departments.
9. Create measurable goals for projects and initiatives.
10. Track progress throughout the projects and initiatives.

1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business Management, or a related field required.
2. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
3. 2+ years of experience, preferably in the distribution, fulfillment, transportation, or other aspects of the logistics industry.
4. Previous experience in WMS Solutions/Implementation.
5. Self-starter attitude.
6. Ability to quickly learn new systems or software.
7. Ability to write clearly and concisely.
8. Ability to approach all situations with tact, high emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and discretion.
