Job title: IT Administrator (FTC)

Job Location: Western Cape, Cape Town

BIOVAC is one of the leading sterile vaccine manufacturers rooted in Africa, with our core purpose being to "protect life". We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive and meticulous IT Administrator (FTC) to join a goal-oriented team.

Qualifications Needed

  1. Degree in computer technology or industry qualifications with minimum 2 years experience.

Necessary Experience & Industry Knowledge

  1. At least 2 years of experience in IT administration, support, or a related role.
  2. Familiarity with IT systems management, incident and change management processes (e.g., ITIL framework).
  3. Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is an advantage.
  4. Basic understanding of backup processes, monitoring tools, and SLA management.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

  1. Assist in the preparation, submission, and tracking of user forms, access control, Biometrics for user, IT equipment and infrastructure investments.
  2. Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure accurate information is provided and timelines are met.
  3. Support the team with SAP payment load processes, ensuring accurate and timely input of financial data.
  4. Monitor and address any discrepancies in SAP payment loads.
  5. Review, update, and maintain IT-related quality system documentation (e.g., procedures, work instructions, and policies).
  6. Ensure documentation aligns with internal standards and regulatory compliance.
  7. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that system processes meet quality standards.
  8. Assist in coordinating IT projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  9. Work with cross-functional teams to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
  10. Track project progress and assist in troubleshooting project issues.
  11. Participate in the incident management process, logging, tracking, and resolving IT-related incidents in a timely manner.
  12. Collaborate with other IT teams to investigate, diagnose, and address issues promptly.
  13. Assist in managing IT change requests and changes to infrastructure and systems.
  14. Ensure changes are documented and comply with the company’s change management procedures.
  15. Monitor and verify the backup compliance of systems, ensuring that backup processes are followed, and that critical data is regularly backed up.
  16. Troubleshoot backup failures and escalate issues to the appropriate teams.
  17. Monitor IT service performance to ensure SLAs are met.
  18. Generate reports on SLA compliance and identify areas for improvement in service delivery.
