Job description

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

  1. Exposure to stock management gained in a petrochemical, production or industrial environment.
  2. Experience in warehousing.
  3. Technical experience, especially plant maintenance programs.
  4. Experience in managing and implementing HSEQ programs.
  5. People management experience and exposure to IR matters.
  6. Experience in general office administration and clerical control.
  7. Experience in customer care/service with emphasis on order processing and resolution/handling of customer complaints.

MAIN CONTACT:

Internal: CEO, Plant assistant, driver, Distribution divisional management and staff, HSEQ division, HR admin and IR Divisions, technical divisions, Marketing staff, Tribologist, M&S Department, Credit controllers.

External: Chief emergency services and other local authorities, Transport contractors, Engineers, Mittal, Customers.

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To supervise/manage the operation of the Warehouse and provide an administrative service within the framework of relevant legislation and regulations governing the industry, thus ensuring high customer service levels and efficient office administration with the aim of contributing to the effective management and efficient operation of the Warehouse.

MAIN TASKS:

  1. Ensuring that stock levels at the Warehouse are maintained.
  2. Managing stock level uncertainties caused by fluctuation in supply and demand of the product.
  3. Ensuring road transport deliveries to the customers within the agreed timeframes.
  4. Resolving road transport problems affecting prompt and efficient deliveries to customers.
  5. Handling of customer complaints and queries.

CONTROLS:

  1. Supervise the operations of the warehouse, all loading bay activities and products received.
  2. Effective stock supervision.
  3. Supervise the issuing and distribution of products in the warehouse.
  4. Supervise the warehouse’s maintenance programs at minimum costs ensuring no loss of revenue due to downtime in the terminal’s operation.
  5. Supervise the HSEQ and security of the warehouse.
  6. Supervise all subordinates through continuous people management, staff development and coaching.
  7. Reconcile the trips to improve the efficiency and optimization of transport and to satisfy customer requirements.
  8. Complete the daily bulk fuel recon by capturing the dip information to ensure effective stock control.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Up to R27000,00 per month

Education:

  • Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Store manager: 5 years (Required)
