Irrigation Design Engineer

Project planning of drip irrigation systems, including water supply systems, pumps, irrigation heads control, filtration systems, fertigation and control, from conceptual to detailed design.

Basic knowledge in peripheral sectors such as: basics of agronomy, geotechnics, hydraulics, electricity and control, civil engineering [roads, drainage, reservoirs, canals, etc.], as an integral part of the planning.

Preparation of engineering materials including drawings, plans, bills of quantities, specifications, etc. for the purpose of communicating with the client, accompanying the preparation of price quotes and execution planning.

Coordination of all engineering activities of the planning team (client, planner, implementer, drafter, budget estimator).

Learning and improving design tools, methods, planning processes and work processes, managing the data.

• BSc. in civil engineering, agricultural engineering or a similar degree.
• 5+ years relevant work experience.
• Experience in planning - an advantage.
• Good ability to express oneself in English.
• Experience in designing of similar systems with an emphasis on hydraulics and infrastructure.
• Mastery and familiarity with CAD systems and GIS environment.
• Self-learning ability, creativity, thoroughness, accuracy, attention to detail.
• Background and prior familiarity with the agricultural field, agronomy.
• Good interpersonal skills, mental flexibility.
• Willingness to travel abroad - site tours, accompaniment and performance control.
• SABI design certificate is compulsory.
