Investigator

An Internal Vacancy exists for an Investigator in the Mining Division – Sibanye Beatrix based in the Free State.

The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Managing and Investigation of crime incidents
2. Handling of informers and intelligence
3. Management of Informer Rewards
4. Ensure that court procedures are fulfilled
5. Liaise with HR department concerning disciplinary enquiries to ensure fulfillment thereof
6. Liaise with client / SAPS / Court officials
7. Docket inspected as per bring forward system
8. Investigation experience at a Gold Mine

The suitable candidate shall have the following qualifications / attributes / skills:

1. Matric
2. Driver’s license
3. Computer literacy (MS Excel) and Word
4. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in investigating incidents (criminal as well as departmental)
5. SAPS, Defense force, and NIA experience will be an advantage
6. Own transport – reliable and economical
7. Own accommodation
8. Excellent presentation, written, verbal communication and report writing skills
9. PSIRA Grading A
10. Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism to liaise with clients
11. Ability to work under pressure to meet targets
12. Work independently
13. Go the extra mile
14. Good organizer
15. 3 years’ experience in the investigation of crime with the SAPS or other institute
16. Experience in a Gold Mine would be an advantage
17. Proficiency in MS Office
